Make a 3D game by describing it

Driving down a mountain, flying through a city, exploring a maze in first person or stacking blocks that wobble: describe the 3D game you want, and Go Bananas builds it in a few minutes. It runs in the browser, on a phone or a computer.

What a 3D game needs in its description

A 3D game has three things a 2D game doesn't: a camera, a world and movement in depth. Say a word about each and the game comes out much closer to what you pictured:

  • The camera: behind the player (third person), through their eyes (first person), from above, or fixed like a stage.
  • The world: a road, a city block, a room, an island, space. Keep it to one place for a first version.
  • The controls: keys and mouse on a computer, a joystick and buttons on a phone, or tilting the phone.
  • What happens: the goal, what's in the way, and how a round ends.

For example: "A third-person 3D game where you drive a shopping cart down a winding mountain road. Steer with the arrow keys or by tilting the phone. Dodge cows, hit ramps for points, and crash if you leave the road."

How the 3D works

Games are drawn with WebGL, the 3D graphics every modern browser has, so there's nothing to install. The AI builds the world from shapes, lights and materials in code, and adds physics when the game needs it: things that fall, roll, bounce or stack.

Phones handle 3D well when the scene stays small: one road, one room or one island at a time, a few dozen moving things, simple shadows. If a game runs slowly on your phone, ask for it: "make it run faster on phones" usually does it.

Use your own 3D models

You can upload 3D models and use them in your game: GLB, glTF, FBX, OBJ, or a ZIP of a model with its textures. Then mention it in your description, for example "use my car model for the player". Real places scanned as Gaussian splats work too (PLY, SPZ).

Then make it better

Once it runs, change it one thing at a time by chatting: "make the camera follow closer", "add fog in the distance", "add a speed boost on the straight parts", "add a second level in the desert". Each change takes a minute or two.

Questions

Do 3D games work on phones?

Yes, in the phone's browser, with touch or tilt controls. Small scenes run best; you can ask the AI to make a game run faster on phones.

Can I make a first-person game?

Yes. Say "first person" in your description and say what the player can do: walk, look around, pick things up, shoot.

Can I use models I made in Blender?

Yes. Export them as GLB (best) or glTF, FBX or OBJ, upload them, and name them in your description.

How much does it cost?

Your first game is free, with no account. After that, games and changes use tokens: a free account adds enough for about three more games.
